Origami Flower Tower Bobby Pins

Flower Tower Bobby Pins

As I referenced a few posts back, I wanted to try a project or something with origami over the summer, and I’m thinking about starting an Etsy store once I get some more jewelry making supplies and other materials. Until then, I’m stuck with bobby pins, which are kind of simple, to say the least. This is just a smaller 8 point variation of the flower tower designed by Chris Palmer covered in some varnish and attached to a bobby pin.

Paper: Green Post-it Note with the sticky part removed. (Original, I know)

What do you guys think?

  1. Are you planning to sell mainly hair pins? This looks like a fairly decent start, and I’m looking forward to seeing more origami! I was actually planning to start selling cards on Etsy this summer, but I’m sticking to blogging for now, and postponing Etsy for another summer. .

    • I only have bobby pins right now, but once more supplies come, I might start making earrings. Aside from jewelry, I have a model that I think will make an interesting card, but I’m not sure how well it’ll actually work out, folding with cardstock and whatnot.

By the way, what’s the model in your picture? It looks like a really cool star curler, and I kind of want to make one over the summer. Once again, thanks for giving your feedback!
